"In 2022, all royalty payments for my father’s oil/gas lease ended abruptly, with the only explanation from the operator being that his lease had been placed in recoupment status. After two years of my repeated phone calls and emails, all communication stopped between me and the operator. I contacted Jeff with this issue, and he immediately got to work with his partner Jason. Together, they were able to analyze, calculate, and correct the contract error that the operator itself had made. Not only had the operator triple dipped in their calculation of the recoupment amount, but according to my father’s original leasing contract, there was a no-recoupment clause written in that would not allow this to happen.
